Mary Margaret (Hellyer) Maguire, 68, passed away Sept 14, 2017. 
Born Sept 29, 1948 in New Castle, PA, she graduated from Laurel High School, New Castle, PA in 1966. She left PA and attended college at Westmar College in LeMars Iowa in 1970. She met Stephen Francis Maguire (1949-2005) while attending Westmar College. They married Aug 22, 1970. Mary started her teaching career at Central High School for two years and then moved to North High School where she taught for 35 years. 
After she retired, she spent her summers volunteering at the YMCA camp of the Rockies in Estes Park, Colorado. She loved to take wildlife pictures in the mountains, spending time with her family, watching her grandchildren's sporting activities, reading and traveling. 
She is survived by her two sons, Matthew and Mark Maguire; her daughter, Molly Maguire (Adam Lounsbury); grandsons, Adlai and Henry Lounsbury; sister, Amy Hellyer; brothers, Thomas (Pat) Hellyer, Alan Hellyer; 3 nieces; 3 nephews; one great grandniece and one great grandnephew. 
She will always be remembered for her vibrant smile, personality and willingness to help anyone in need. She will be missed, but her memory will live on.

The family is holding a memorial service Thursday Sept 28, 2017 from 4-7pm at Stone State Park Lodge, 5001 Talbot Road Sioux City, Iowa 51103.
