Sandy was killed in a car accident in January of 1982. I still miss her and my daughter, Brittany Cassandra, is named after her. Britt was born less than 10 days after Sandy was killed.
I remember Sandy from grade school. She was very sweet. A few years back my daughter became friends with a little girl named Hannah who, later I found out, would have been Sandy's niece. Small world.
I still miss her like it was yesterday. In junior high I had a lot of Friday nite sleepovers at her house. She used to write 15 - 25 page postage due letters to me when I was away for the summer. I was her maid of honor when Sandy married Bruce Godbersen in May 1980. We had our boys 2 days apart in November 1980. She was proud of her son Scott and he survived the car accident that she did not.
